A marine biologist (Crenna) is commissioned by the U.S. Navy to investigate a mysterious rash of attacks on military sea vessels. He recruits a crew--including his daughter Sophie (Cox)--and soon discovers the evil Captain Nemo (Cross) has been attacking the vessels from his submarine The Nautilus. Robert Dean (Will Smith) is a labor lawyer who is unknowingly in possession of evidence related to a serious politically motivated crime.
