In the last days of the Vietnam War, U.S. navy fighter pilots aboard an aircraft carrier have become disillusioned with the way the war is going and the pointless missions they are required to fly. The LUCHADORES ENMASCARADOS series resurrects the cinematic genre of lucha libre, a form of Mexican wrestling marked by the use of masks, tag teams, and high-flying acrobatics. Starting out in the 1950s as typical gangster crime dramas, 1960s and `70s lucha libre employed increasingly outlandish storylines involving supernatural foes such as vampires, martians, mummies, and zombies. This collection includes three films from the golden age of 1970s lucha libre that unites some of the genre`s biggest stars. In EL HIJO DE ALMA GRANDE (1976), Blue Demon and Alma Grande Jr. battle a blind alien and his human cult of eye-worshipers. In LOS VAMPIROS DE COYOACAN (1974), Mil Mascaras and Superzan rescue a beautiful maiden from the clutches of vampire dwarves. And in LA MANSION DE LAS SIETE MOMIAS (1977), Blue Demon and Superzan take on an army of mummies.

This slick and groovy film was born in the pages of a comic by Peter O'Donnell. An orphan who was raised by a corrupt casino owner, Modesty Blaise is no stranger to a life of crime. In a room full of thugs, she will readily outfight, outsmart, and outsleuth any of them. That is, until a longtime enemy kills her surrogate father and threatens to take control of the casino. By using any means necessary, Modesty must overpower the villains, like the monomaniacal female assassin in Quentin Tarantino's artful KILL BILL. FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX: Originally a 1965 Jimmy Stewart vehicle, this FLIGHT gets a rough and ready updating for the new century, with the stalwart Dennis Quaid now inhabiting the title role. He`s a pilot on a routine trip out to investigate some remote oil rigs in the Gobi Desert, but things go wrong and he makes a crash landing in the middle of nowhere. For him, and the men along for the ride, a slow, tortured, thirsty death seems certain, unless the plucky mechanic in the crew (Giovanni Ribisi) can design a whole new plane from the wreckage. As with the original, this is a manly adventure of rugged survival and mechanical ingenuity, only this time there`s a woman on board, Kelly (Miranda Otto), who generates some romantic sparks. Some of the other survivors are played by Tyrese Gibson, Sticky Fingaz, Bob Brown, and Kirk Jones. The men and one woman have to tangle with murderous desert raiders and numerous sandstorms in addition to the frequent squabbling amongst themselves. Director John Moore gets a lot of mileage out of the desert backdrop and Ribisi is solid as the mechanic with a troubled past. The film was produced by William Aldrich, whose father, Robert, directed the Stewart original. Edward Burns (THE BROTHERS McMULLEN) co-wrote the new screenplay.BEHIND ENEMY LINES: On a reconnaissance flight over eastern Europe, disillusioned naval pilot Chris Burnett (Owen Wilson) and his partner, Stackhouse (Gabriel Macht), photograph a scene they were not meant to see. When their plane is shot down and Stackhouse is quickly captured and executed, Burnett must struggle to survive in unfamiliar hostile territory with a cold-blooded assassin and hundreds of enemy troops on his heels.
