With THE GLASS SHIELD, acclaimed director Charles Burnett (KILLER OF SHEEP, TO SLEEP WITH ANGER) tackles the problematic issue of racism within the police force. J.J. Johnson (Michael Boatman) has wanted to be a cop ever since he was a kid.
