An epic set in feudal Japan, ONMYOJI portrays Kyoto's famed court fortuneteller, Abe no Seimei (Mansai Nomura). When a young samurai comes to Seimei to discuss a possible plot against the government, the two discover that the court's formidable magician, Doson, is indeed planning a coup. Teaming their skills to take on the powerful Doson, Seimei and Hiromasa face a long and difficult battle. ONMYOJI II begins during the Daimyo's brutal slaughter of a religious Shinto village. Hidden away in a cave, a priest invokes a mighty ancient god to preserve the village's lineage and sacred beliefs. Many years later, the Dragon God returns seeking vengeance by dispatching villains in the form of vampires.
